The Parkview LaGrange Foundation is once again hosting “Paddle for Parkview.” This ninth annual event will take place at the Trading Post Canoe, Kayak & Campground in Mongo the afternoon of Friday, June 22nd.
Participants will have a choice between two paddle options: a family-friendly, leisurely seven-mile paddle down the Pigeon River or a more challenging 13-mile paddle. Or you may choose to kayak on either journey. There’s something for everyone!
The “Paddle for Parkview” is the perfect opportunity to spend the afternoon being active in the great outdoors and enjoying one of our county’s natural treasures. What’s more is that you can do all of this and support a local cause:
Proceeds from this year’s Paddle for Parkview will benefit Parkview LaGrange patients participating in the Food Pharmacy Program. The program is designed to use food as medicine for type 2 diabetics.
** NOTICE: Due to torrential rains, thunderstorms, and the very high level of the Pigeon River, the 2018 Paddle For Parkview event has been postponed until August 3rd. We will do our best to communicate with everyone who has registered for the event to keep you informed. If you have any questions, please contact Kayla Paz at 260-266-7789 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
